Railotech excursion 12.11.2026

Railotech is a design company specializing in icebreakers and other arctic technology. They also operate their own ice model test basin within their office building. Railotech and it’s predecessors have designed more than half of the world’s icebreakers. The company is also breaking frontiers in terms of the inventions adopted in recent icebreakers.

The excursion will begin from Otaniemi, as we will have our private bus leaving from Tietotie 1C to the Railotech offices. At the office we’ll hear a short company presentation, after which we’ll get to enjoy a sauna and some food provided for us. After the sauna, we’ll have a bus ride back to Helsinki centre. 

There is space for 20 people total on the visit, and the sign up will open on 29.10. at 14.00.
